How To Eat There is so much in the news. We read diet books, see diet products on ads. In newspapers we see new research every day, that seems to contradict the old research. What to do? Here at Balanced Nutrition, we approach weight management and general health in a more whole approach. We teach good living skills, which include how to shop, seek out whole foods, prepare, read food labels. We stress a balanced lifestyle which includes activity, and a good relationship with healthy food. So, how does one eat? To get you started: 1. Eat a variety of foods. Seek out food adventure. Buy a new cookbook, try a new cooking method. 2. Never skp breakfast. In fact, eating 5 or 6 small meals each day is a healthy meal plan! 3. PLAN! Planning for times when you know you will be tired/busy/stressed can cut down on the trips to the fast food joints. Plan healthy snacks. Take your lunch in a cooler when you travel. 4. BE ACTIVE! There is no better advise for a well led life, than to stay active, if you are in good health. (If you are just starting your activity, you should be sure your doctor has cleared you for the activity you are wishing to begin.) |
